A Look Inside Hammer & Nails Santa Monica: A Great Spot for Grooming and Relaxation
Luxury Grooming for Men Expands in Los Angeles
Hammer & Nails, a luxury grooming salon for men, is redefining the grooming experience with five locations across Los Angeles. Founded in 2013 in West Hollywood, the brand aims to challenge the notion that grooming services are unmanly, according to CEO Aaron Meyers. “No matter the color of your collar, there’s a spot for you here,” he asserts.
Beyond traditional nail services, Hammer & Nails now offers a comprehensive range of grooming treatments, including haircuts, shaves, waxing, and facials. The expansion includes a new location in Santa Monica, contributing to a total of 12 salons throughout California, with further openings planned in Studio City and Pleasanton. The franchise has also made strides on a national level, establishing salons in states such as Florida, Connecticut, Georgia, Arizona, and New Jersey, with a goal of reaching 100 locations nationwide by the end of next year.
Meyers recognized the challenges of entering a market traditionally dominated by salons that may not appeal to a male clientele. To counteract this, he has cultivated a relaxed and modern atmosphere. Customers can expect expert stylists to cater to their grooming needs in contemporary spaces adorned with sleek wood accents against a monochromatic palette.
Guests at Hammer & Nails can indulge in a unique experience, enjoying a glass of whiskey during a manicure in an ambiance that pays homage to Los Angeles’ sports history. The combination of comfortable leather seating and entertainment allows for both relaxation and enjoyment.
Additionally, Hammer & Nails offers three membership tiers to suit different needs, from the Classic Club—which includes two services a month—to the Club Luxe, offering unlimited services.
Meyers emphasizes the transformational power of the grooming experience. “All you have to do is come in once,” he says. “We know if you try us, you’re going to love us. And as soon as a man comes in and he gets a haircut and a straight razor shave, he gets a pedicure, he walks out a little taller.”
