Rob Reiner, the acclaimed actor and director, has died at the age of 78. He was found slain alongside his wife, Michele, 68, in what multiple sources confirmed were homicides committed by their son, Nick. Their daughter, Romy, discovered their bodies.
Born on March 6, 1947, in the Bronx, New York, Reiner was the son of comedy legend Carl Reiner and his wife, Estelle. He spent his formative years on the set of his father’s sitcom, The Dick Van Dyke Show, before gaining fame as Mike "Meathead" Stivic on All in the Family. Transitioning to directing, Reiner made his mark with iconic films such as This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally, and A Few Good Men.
Reiner met Michele while filming When Harry Met Sally… and went on to become a father of four. His journey in the entertainment industry has left an indelible mark, spanning decades of influential work.
