Born on April 29, 1981, Clay Samuel Senechal is Potts’s first child. His early life included notable public appearances, such as attending the premiere of Ghostbusters II in 1989. He graduated from Brown University in 2004 with a degree in English and has since made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Presently, Clay holds roles as a writer, creator, and executive producer, working with major studios like DreamWorks and FX. He even created a Netflix animated film featuring his mother, a project she celebrated on social media upon its release.

In 2021, she marked his milestone birthday on Instagram, expressing her pride: “My wonderful son Clay turns 40 today. He is everything I dreamed he would be.” Clay has also welcomed a son, Silas, with his partner, author Anna Carey, in 2022. Potts expressed her joy over becoming a grandmother again, stating, “Meemaw 2.0! My first born has his first born!”
James Powell Hayman, 33

The second son of Potts, James Powell Hayman, was born on May 28, 1992, two years after his parents’ marriage. Known as "Doc" in the industry, he has followed in his family’s footsteps, pursuing a career in film and television production. James has contributed to multiple projects, including Lisa Frankenstein, No One Will Save You, Hit Man, and Renfield. His involvement in Young Sheldon included working on three episodes prior to the show’s conclusion in 2024.
In April 2023, he shared on Instagram, “RENFIELD COMES OUT TODAY!! My first full staff job as a Background PA… some blood (a lot of blood), sweat, and tears poured into this film.” James is also an aspiring DJ and musician, often sharing updates about his work. He and his partner, Katrina Engle, welcomed a son in 2021, sparking excitement in the family. Potts announced the birth of her first grandchild, Cassius James Hayman, with joy: “We’ve GOT ONE!!!”
Currently residing in New Orleans, James recently took a trip to Los Angeles to celebrate his mother’s 70th birthday, providing a heartwarming reunion for the family.

Though he has participated in acting roles in shows like Joan of Arcadia and Hot Hot Los Angeles, Harry is now more inclined towards poetry. His private life is reflected on social media, where he describes himself as a “poet. talker. [and] vigilance relaxed."
Occasionally, Potts shares highlights of their travels together, including memorable experiences such as a diving excursion in Anguilla in 2021 and a trip to England two years later. Harry has maintained a low profile, but he attended the premiere of Toy Story 2 in 1999 with his parents, marking a familial milestone during Potts’s role as Bo Peep.
