In a startling disclosure, Mary Cosby’s cousin and several former members of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church have alleged that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star engaged in an affair with ex-congregant Cameron Williams.
The revelation comes in the new TLC docuseries The Cult of the Real Housewife. According to Dan Cosby, Mary’s first cousin, Williams claimed in a phone conversation that he had an affair with Mary, who has been married to Robert Cosby Sr. since 1998. This claim follows Williams’s death in 2021 due to complications from brain tumor surgery, shortly after his appearance on RHOSLC.
During the call with Dan, Cameron reported that he had visited Mary’s home, where they spent time together and shared an intimate encounter. “According to Cameron, he put his hand in her vagina,” Dan recounted. “I said, ‘What?’” Dan later elaborated that Cameron stated they had sex.
At this time, a representative for Mary Cosby has not provided a response to requests for comment.

A clip from the documentary features a conversation between Dan and Cameron, in which Cameron suggests the affair left him feeling victimized. He mentioned it took therapy to help him cope. “We had the affair and all that, but like, that was me being victimized,” Cameron is heard saying.
Initially, he felt blessed by the affair, saying, “Look, we were on private jets, going on trips, she was buying me $2,500 shoes.” However, he later expressed feelings of manipulation and embarrassment for his involvement.
Dan elaborated that Cameron was concerned for his safety and wanted his story told if anything were to happen to him. “My goal is to protect my family,” Cameron stated during the call. “I be trying to make sure I don’t go down on her ship.” He claimed he had orchestrated Mary’s casting on RHOSLC partly to expose her.

Further discussions in the documentary reveal that other ex-congregants corroborated Cameron’s claims. Ernest Enoch stated that Cameron told him about the affair, and Cameron’s brother Michael noted a sudden change in Cameron’s church attendance. Cameron allegedly expressed concerns about Mary, claiming that her actions led to his demise.
The Cult of the Real Housewife is a three-part series chronicling the rise of Faith Temple, founded by Mary’s grandmother Rosemary ‘Mama’ Cosby. It also examines the complex leadership transition and Mary’s marriage to Robert Sr., Rosemary’s widower.
Mary has described the documentary as “sad and a shame,” asserting at BravoCon 2025 that “It’s horrible, that’s what I think. And it’s not true.”
The Cult of the Real Housewife is set to premiere on Thursday, January 1, at 8 p.m. ET on TLC, with all episodes available for streaming on HBO Max and discovery+ the following day.
