Baylen Dupree from ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Shares Exciting Hints About Season 3 and TLC’s Emmy Plans
Baylen Dupree, the star of TLC’s reality series Baylen Out Loud, is eager for fans to experience her wedding in the upcoming season, hinting at some "chaos" ahead.
The third season of Baylen Out Loud is set to premiere on Tuesday, May 19. Warner Bros. Discovery, the cable network behind the show, is concurrently preparing for an Emmy campaign. Last year, the show made headlines as the highest-rated new cable series, attracting over 28 million viewers, according to TLC.
The series follows Dupree, a young woman living with severe Tourette’s syndrome, along with her family, which now includes her husband Colin Dooley. Season three will chronicle their wedding preparations, which took place earlier this month, alongside new career demands, financial choices, and the prospect of relocating. The season kicks off with a joint bachelor and bachelorette party.
Dupree has gained recognition for raising awareness about Tourette’s syndrome, notably defending John Davidson, the subject of the film I Swear, following an incident at the BAFTAs.
“Every story I’ve been told by someone in the Tourette community has been incredibly meaningful,” Dupree remarked. “So many people who have Tourette or know someone with TS have shared that Baylen Out Loud has had a real impact on them. There truly isn’t anything else like it out there, and I hear time and time again that just by sharing my life, both the joyful moments and the everyday challenges, I’m helping the TS community feel seen and understood.”
Dupree expresses her desire for the show to continue beyond its third season, emphasizing her commitment to sharing her story and the journeys of her family. “I’m excited to keep sharing more of my story and my family’s journey in future seasons. Last season, viewers saw me travel to London to try the Neupulse wrist device, which has helped me a lot. I want to continue sharing experiences like that while raising awareness and advocating for the Tourette community,” she stated.
The series is currently being submitted for Emmy consideration in categories including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program. Last year, Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum won the Unstructured Reality award, surpassing competitors like America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Welcome to Wrexham. Meanwhile, the sports docuseries Welcome to Wrexham took home the award for Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program, beating out Deadliest Catch, Life Below Zero, Love on the Spectrum, and RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked.
