Investigation Underway After Boy Shot in East Los Angeles
Authorities are investigating a tragic incident in East Los Angeles following the shooting of a boy early Saturday morning, which ultimately led to his death.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon near the intersection of Sixth Street and Fraser Avenue at approximately 1:15 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the injured boy, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he passed away.
According to investigators, the shooter fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV heading east on Sixth Street. Details about the suspect have yet to be released, and officials have not confirmed whether the shooting had any gang affiliations.
