Thirteen Injured in Santa Clarita Multi-Vehicle Collision
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A significant traffic accident involving a city bus, a gravel truck, and a sedan resulted in injuries to thirteen individuals on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Centre Pointe Parkway.
The collision was reported around 9:30 a.m., prompting emergency services to the scene. Among the injured, one person was trapped inside the city bus and had to be extricated by firefighters. That individual was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Video footage captured by SkyFOX showed extensive damage to the sedan and the city bus positioned near the overturned truck, which had spilled gravel across the roadway. As a result, the intersection remains closed while crews work to remove the debris and investigate the accident’s cause.
Authorities confirmed that, of the thirteen injured, four are currently in critical condition. However, the exact circumstances leading up to the collision remain unclear, including which vehicle had the right of way.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes, as the intersection is expected to be obstructed for several hours during the cleanup and investigation process. Those using Santa Clarita Valley Transit should be aware of potential delays or detours affecting routes in the Canyon Country area.
