Ahsoka Season 2 Premiere Date Announced for Disney+ Fans
Season 2 of Ahsoka is set to debut, with new episodes scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in early 2027. The announcement was made by actress Rosario Dawson during Disney’s upfront presentation on Tuesday.
Dawson emphasized the excitement for the upcoming season, stating, “This season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher.”
Disney also provided a sneak peek of the new season, featuring creator Dave Filoni and cast members discussing the production process. Based on their insights, it appears Dawson’s claims about heightened battles are well-founded, promising epic galactic conflicts.
It has been several months since viewers last engaged with Ahsoka. The Season 1 finale, which aired in October 2023, concluded with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) escaping through a hyperspace loop, accompanied by Ezra (Eman Esfandi). Meanwhile, Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine (Natasha Liu) found themselves stranded in Peridea, a lush alien world. Thrawn’s agenda, known as “The Thrawn campaign,” seeks to restore the Empire while undermining the New Republic.
The three-year wait for the new season may pay off, especially following hints provided by Filoni. Notably, Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker, deepening the complex dynamic between Ahsoka and her former master. Additionally, actor Rory McCann joins the cast as the menacing Jedi Baylan Skoll, taking over the role after the death of Ray Stevenson. The beloved character Admiral Ackbar is also set to make a return.
“He’s going head-to-head with Thrawn,” Filoni asserted, raising anticipation for the dramatic confrontations ahead.
