ATX TV Festival Announces Exciting New Season 15 Lineup with Boston Rob Casting Talk and Behind-the-Scenes Stunts on ‘Marshals’

You’re Killing Me: Conversation & Happy Hour with Brooke Shields and Amalia Williamson, presented by Acorn TV—Star and executive producer Brooke Shields, along with co-star Amalia Williamson, will provide an exclusive preview of Acorn TV’s new mystery series, set to premiere on May 18.
Taking place in a charming New England town, the six-part series follows bestselling author Allie (Shields) as she teams up with aspiring writer and podcaster Andi (Williamson) to investigate the murder of a mutual friend. At the end of the festival’s first day, the event promises a themed happy hour, complete with drinks, bites, and premium giveaways sponsored by Acorn TV.

“I Know You!: How Familiar Faces Drive Fandom Across NBCUniversal” will explore the casting strategies behind unscripted hits. Christine Cowan (SVP, Talent & Casting, Bravo, NBC, and Peacock Unscripted) and Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano, star of The Traitors and Survivor, will discuss how recognizable talent cultivates fan engagement and transforms familiarity into franchise success.
Case Study: Rise of the Mini Studio—This segment will analyze the emergence of “mini studios” and their role in shaping the television landscape. The discussion will feature studio heads, development executives, and producers, including Kathleen McCaffrey (Little Gems), Ryan Rasmussen (Bad Wolf), Patrick McDonald (Cut To), and Alissa Bachner (Tomorrow Studios), with additional panelists to be announced.
All Creatures Great and Small—Masterpiece PBS will debut at the ATX TV Festival with a panel featuring the cast of this beloved series, which depicts the adventures of veterinarian James Herriot in 1930s Yorkshire Dales. Attendees can expect discussions around memorable character moments and insights into filming this animal-centric, period drama. Recently, the series aired its sixth season in the US and has already been renewed for seventh and eighth seasons, with panelists to be announced soon.
Grit, Guts & Stunts: Inside CBS’s Marshals—This panel will give attendees a glimpse into the rigorous stunt work behind CBS’s popular show. Participants include creator and showrunner Spencer Hudnut, actress Arielle Kebbel (“Belle Skinner”), and stunt coordinator Matthew Taylor, who will address the intensive preparation and choreography that brings the series’ action to life amid tight production timelines.
Mystery Screening—The 2026 festival will introduce a “Mystery Screening,” inspired by the ongoing success of previous Mystery Guest conversations featuring notable personalities such as Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), Ronald Gladden (Jury Duty), and Emmy Award-winner Katherine LaNasa (The Pitt). Hallmark’s The Way Home—The series will return to the ATX TV Festival for a discussion with stars Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow as the show approaches its final episodes. The original Hallmark series chronicles the journey of three generations of women living in the small town of Port Haven. Currently airing its concluding season, The Way Home will finish in June, and all episodes are available for streaming on Hallmark+.
