Framber Valdez Clarifies Hit-by-Pitch was Accidental, While Trevor Story Shares His Thoughts
In a tense moment on the field Tuesday, Tigers pitcher Framber Valdez struck Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story with a 94-mph fastball, a move Valdez claimed was unintentional. This incident followed a challenging sequence for Valdez, who had just allowed back-to-back home runs.
Both Story and interim Red Sox manager Chad Tracy expressed their disagreement with Valdez’s explanation regarding the pitch. Following the incident, Valdez was ejected from the game. He now faces the possibility of a suspension from Major League Baseball as a result of the confrontation.
