New Digital Literary Scouting Service Bo-sco Launches
A new literary scouting subscription service, Bo-sco, is launching today in the UK.
Founded by novelist and media researcher Arianna Reiche, Bo-sco aims to provide producers and development executives with curated insights into intellectual property (IP) that is available for option.
The service will send subscribers a monthly intelligence report featuring seven “overlooked, optionable literary IP” titles that have not yet garnered attention from development executives. Reiche leads a team of researchers, supported by regional affiliates across Europe, Latin America, and Cantonese-speaking areas, to identify these opportunities.
Primarily targeting producers and development executives, Bo-sco will also appeal to agents, managers, and writers.

Reiche developed the service under the conviction that there exists “an enormous body of screen-ready material,” which includes short fiction, small-press works, backlist titles, estate catalogs, and emerging talent from international literary scenes that lack established scouting frameworks. The service will also consider early-stage manuscripts and digital IP.
Bo-sco’s subscription pricing is set at approximately £39.99/£429.99 ($54/$582) per month, significantly less than a traditional retained literary scout, which Reiche notes “costs considerably more.”
In discussing the motivation behind Bo-sco, Reiche stated, “Screen development teams are, in my experience, genuinely hungry for story; they’re just time-poor and the tools available to them have never quite kept pace with the full scope of what’s optionable.”
She further added, “Bo-sco is built on the idea that the most exciting IP is rarely the most visible – that the pipeline between a remarkable book and a remarkable screen adaptation can be shorter, smarter, and more editorially ‘alive’ than it currently is.”
Reiche is the author of Warden / Star and At the End of Every Day, with a background in screen development and media research, including experience with Netflix on various development projects.
