A man wanted in connection with an attempted homicide has barricaded himself inside a motel room in Santa Ana, leading to a significant police response early Sunday morning.
The situation unfolded around 3:40 a.m. at the Studio 6 Suites on Harbor Boulevard. Police had approached the man as part of their investigation into an attempted homicide case dating back to January 2.
Following their approach, the suspect retreated into a motel room, accompanied by a woman whom police describe as a willing participant.
