Downtown Los Angeles Unveils Festive December Lineup of Concerts and Performances
This December, Downtown Los Angeles is set to embrace the holiday spirit with an exciting array of concerts, theater productions, and festive performances. From world-class opera and orchestral masterpieces to intimate singer-songwriter sets, the city promises an engaging cultural experience for music and art enthusiasts alike.
The iconic La Bohème will be staged at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on December 4, 6, 10, and 14. The production, directed by Lina González-Granados, showcases the emotionally charged story of love and loss, featuring Janai Brugger as Mimì and Oreste Cosimo as Rodolfo. Attendees can expect to be transported to the romantic bohemian world of Paris, all set to Puccini’s timeless melodies.
On December 5, Silvana Estrada will bring her Vendrán Suaves Lluvias tour to The Belasco, promising a soulful evening of indie-folk music that draws from her three acclaimed albums.
Also on December 5 and 6, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will host La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin. This performance retells the miraculous apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Juan Diego through the talents of actors, singers, and Aztec dancers, presented in Spanish with English supertitles.
