Expect Traffic Delays at Burbank Airport Because of Ongoing Construction
Traffic Delays Anticipated at Hollywood Burbank Airport Amid Lane Closure
Traffic disruptions are anticipated at Hollywood Burbank Airport as construction begins on a southbound lane closure on Hollywood Way. Travelers are advised to arrive at least two hours ahead of their scheduled flights to accommodate potential delays.
The closure, which affects one lane of Hollywood Way near Thornton Avenue, is set to last until June 6, according to the airport’s official communications.
In response to the construction, drivers are encouraged to use the Empire Avenue entrance as an alternative route or access the airport via westbound Thornton Avenue.
Work will take place Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and is projected to continue for approximately 60 days. Additionally, the sidewalk and bike lane on the west side of Hollywood Way, between Winona Avenue and Thornton Avenue, will also be closed during this period, as officials have confirmed.
Travelers should plan accordingly to ensure a smooth journey to the airport.
