Upcoming Halloween Festivities in Downtown Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA — As Halloween approaches, Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) is gearing up for a series of exciting events aimed at families and the community. On October 31, the DTLA Alliance will host a Halloween Festival for Kids, while Westfield Century City will feature a festive trick-or-treat experience.
The DTLA Alliance Halloween Festival for Kids will transform ASU Grand Hope Park into a magical Halloween hub from 5 to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event includes a trick-or-treat trail, puppet and magic shows, arts and crafts, carnival games, character meet and greets, and a dance party. Complimentary snacks such as hot dogs, chips, and cookies will also be provided, along with themed trick-or-treat bags.
In addition, Trick or Treat at Westfield Century City invites families to visit participating retailers marked with a ghost in their windows. Here, they can enjoy festive treats throughout the shopping center.
For those seeking a theatrical experience, the LA Opera will present a live performance of the classic Phantom of the Opera on the same day. The orchestra will provide live scoring to the 1925 film, and attendees can look forward to an after-party featuring themed drinks, a DJ, and a costume contest.
Beyond Halloween, Openaire at The Line Hotel will host its Halloween Gwishin Dinner from October 31 to November 2. This unique dining experience melds magical elements with a multi-course culinary journey, combining Korean and French cuisines.
On Halloween night, Keys Halloween Carnival will gain attention as DJ Kaytranada takes the stage, complemented by offerings from DJ Kitty Ca$h, along with a hosted bar for attendees.
Long Beach’s Fairmont Breakers will celebrate with its inaugural HALO-ween and Día de los Muertos events. On October 31, the rooftop bar will feature a costume contest and themed drinks, while the following night will honor Día de los Muertos with live music and storytelling.
Looking ahead, the MOSH BrainFest 2025, hosted by Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger on November 1, will focus on brain health and includes a beachside walk and wellness activities at Regent Santa Monica.
Finally, residents can commemorate Día de los Muertos at Grand Central Market on November 2, featuring a churro cart and a free screening of the beloved film Coco.
Wags & Walks is also set to hold its first Neighborhood Social on November 2, providing community members and their dogs with acupuncture treatments, pottery classes, and festive food options, all aimed at raising funds for rescue dogs.
As Halloween festivities unfold, DTLA promises a range of activities for all ages, ensuring a vibrant celebration of the season.
