Katelyn Rose Downey, Fabien Frankel, Suzanna Son, and Emory Cohen Come Together for Arkasha Stevenson’s A24 Horror Movie
EXCLUSIVE: Directors Arkasha Stevenson and Tim Smith are assembling the cast for their upcoming A24 horror film, with Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II), Fabien Frankel (Task, House of the Dragon), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket, Monster: The Ed Gein Story), and Emory Cohen (Marty Supreme, The Place Beyond the Pines) joining the project.
This untitled film follows the duo’s previous collaboration with A24 on The First Omen, a prequel set for release in 2024, featuring Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and Bill Nighy.
They will join a previously reported cast that includes Josh Hutcherson, Caleb Landry Jones, Whitmer Thomas, Emma Corrin, Havana Rose Liu, Hunter Schafer, and Sophie Wilde. Notably, Frank Dillane, who was once part of the cast, is no longer involved with the project.
Although the film’s logline remains undisclosed, it is said to revolve around a bachelor party that devolves into horror.
Lars Knudsen and Emily Hildner will produce under Knudsen’s and Ari Aster’s Square Peg production banner, with Aster serving as executive producer. Tim Smith, Harrison Huffman, and Christine D’Souza will also contribute as producers.
The cast members have various representation, with Downey represented by Conway van Gelder Grant in the UK and Principal Entertainment LA in the US. Frankel’s agents include Curtis Brown Group, CAA, Luber Roklin, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Son is represented by CAA, Curate, and Ryan Levin of Jackoway Austen Tyerman, while Cohen is represented by Verve, Range Media Partners, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
