Vought Rising Adds James Wolk, Dylan Arnold, Josh Randall, and Chad Willett to Recurring Roles in The Boys Prequel Series
New Cast Announced for ‘The Boys’ Prequel Series ‘Vought Rising’
Actors James Wolk, Dylan Arnold, Josh Randall, and Chad Willett will join the cast of the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising, part of the The Boys franchise on Prime Video. These actors are set to play key recurring roles alongside previously announced leads Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, who will reprise their characters, Soldier Boy and Stormfront, from the original series.
Details about the new characters remain undisclosed, adding an element of intrigue as the show progresses through production. Paul Grellong, an executive producer on The Boys, will serve as both executive producer and showrunner for Vought Rising. The project is being developed by the original creative team, led by Eric Kripke.
Vought Rising is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
The highly anticipated fifth and final season of The Boys is slated to premiere on April 8, featuring two episodes released simultaneously, with subsequent episodes airing weekly until the series finale on May 20.
James Wolk, known for his recent roles in Watchmen and The Boys in the Boat, is set to appear in a recurring capacity on FX’s upcoming adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’s novel, The Shards, produced by Ryan Murphy. He is represented by Gersh and Greenlight Management.
Dylan Arnold recently featured in Apple TV’s Lady in the Lake and Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer. His recent credits also include a series regular role on Netflix’s You and Hulu’s Into the Dark. Arnold is represented by Gersh and Industry Entertainment.
Josh Randall is known for his roles as Captain Sean Beckett on Station 19 and Scott Bodwin on Netflix’s Untamed, along with recurring appearances on Ozark. He is represented by Framework Entertainment and Realm Talent.
Chad Willett has appeared in notable series such as Supernatural and Big Sky, as well as films like Joan of Arc and Hector and the Search for Happiness. Willett will next portray Coach Jensen in Prime Video’s upcoming hockey romance series Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s popular book series. He is represented by RED Management.
