Alec Baldwin Teams Up with Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, and Zazie Beetz in Matt Ross’s New Film ‘Kockroach’
Alec Baldwin Joins Star-Studded Cast of Kockroach
Alec Baldwin is set to join Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, and Zazie Beetz in the upcoming New York crime film Kockroach, directed by Matt Ross, known for his work on Captain Fantastic. The film is produced by Andrew Lazar, recognized for American Sniper, alongside Christina Weiss Lurie of Persuasion. Executive producers include John Friedberg of Black Bear and Vanessa Humphrey from Mad Chance.
Based on the novel by William Lashner, Kockroach follows a mysterious stranger who immerses himself in New York’s criminal underworld, ultimately rising to become a formidable crime boss in a city defined by power. Ross will direct from a screenplay by Jonathan Ames, with revisions made by him.
Filming for the movie is set to commence in April. Black Bear is handling international rights, while CAA Media Finance and Range Select are jointly representing the domestic market.
Baldwin’s recent project was the film Rust. He is represented by UTA and managed by Matt DelPiano.
