Two Dead and Two Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway in Ontario
Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-10 in Ontario
ONTARIO, Calif. – A tragic multi-vehicle collision on the westbound side of the 10 Freeway claimed the lives of two individuals and left two others injured, according to authorities.
The incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday, near the Fourth Street exit. The California Highway Patrol reported that a big rig collided with multiple vehicles, resulting in significant damage, including one vehicle reportedly being "split in half."
First responders pronounced two individuals dead at the scene. Two additional victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
All westbound lanes of the freeway were closed shortly after the crash at 12:08 a.m. and reopened before 6 a.m., causing extensive traffic delays in the area.
As the investigation continues, authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased, nor have they determined the specific cause of the crash.
