TelevisaUnivision Expands Streaming Originals with New Titles on Vix
TelevisaUnivision is bolstering its streaming service, Vix, with a lineup of original content. Upcoming productions include Season 4 of Mujeres Asesinas, Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, Implacables y Divinas, and Carnada.
Mujeres Asesinas, now entering its fourth season, delves into the complex lives of women from varied backgrounds, interconnected by experiences of violence, humiliation, and manipulation. Each episode of this anthology series features a different actress, with this season showcasing performances by Angélica Rivera, Susana Zabaleta, Ana Brenda Contreras, Karena Flores, Paulina Gaitán, Vicky Araico, Livia Brito, and Mayra Batalla.
Vix is also filming the docuseries Implacables y Divinas, spotlighting prominent entertainment figures such as Aracely Arámbula, Galilea Montijo, Bárbara de Regil, and Zabaleta. Produced by River Waves Productions, the series portrays the luxurious and high-pressure lives of these stars, exploring their friendships amid rivalries and media scrutiny while addressing topics like sexual assault and personal struggles.
In Carnada, Adrián Uribe stars as Lalo Sánchez, a discredited former detective who undertakes a perilous undercover mission to capture a serial killer targeting elite financiers linked to Mexico City’s Valtar Group. Lalo must navigate a treacherous landscape of wealth and betrayal to safeguard his promise to his teenage daughter while unraveling a broader conspiracy.
The adaptation of Yo No Creo En Los Hombres will feature Marisol del Olmo, Adolfo de la Fuente, Valentina Buzzurro, José Pablo Minor, and others, chronicling the journey of Julieta, a woman who learns to navigate trust and love after losing faith in men.
This narrative was first adapted by TelevisaUnivision in 1991, featuring Gabriela Roel and Alfredo Adame, and again in 2014, with a screenplay by Aida Guajardo and starring Adriana Louvier and Gabriel Soto.
The launch of these original series reflects TelevisaUnivision’s commitment to expanding its streaming content, promising diverse narratives that resonate with a broad audience.
