Quiver Gains US and UK Distribution for ‘A Love Like This’ Featuring Emmanuelle Chriqui and Hayes MacArthur
Quiver Distribution Acquires Rights to Romantic Drama "A Love Like This"
Quiver Distribution has secured North American and U.K. rights for the romantic drama A Love Like This, starring Emmanuelle Chriqui and Hayes MacArthur. The film, directed by John Asher and written by Jeffrey Ruggles, is set to premiere in theaters on April 3 following its production in Malibu in 2023.
The story features Chriqui and MacArthur as Leah and Paul, a couple facing the complexities of love during a long weekend in Malibu. As they confront their past, they must determine whether their intense, passionate connection is enough to hold them together.
Alongside Chriqui, known for her roles in Entourage and The Lincoln Lawyer, and MacArthur from Angie Tribeca and The Runarounds, the cast includes Joel Michaely, Jason Caceres, Ray Abruzzo, and Joyce Bulifant.
The film is produced by Jordan Bogdonavage under Go West Pictures, Michael Manasseri via Flux Capacitor Studios, and Sergey Shtern from Hughes Productions. Chriqui and MacArthur also take on producing roles, joined by John Asher and Brett Gursky. Executive producers include Lisa Alfelt, Carl Radke, and Sarah R. Santos, while Lee Levin and Jack DeCerchio serve as co-producers.
Chriqui expressed her enthusiasm regarding the film’s distribution: “I’m truly overjoyed that our film has found its home with Quiver. There was something beautiful about a group of artists coming together and telling a complicated story of love. I’m so grateful that a company like Quiver genuinely champions independent film that audiences will now get to experience.”
MacArthur highlighted the importance of the SAG low-budget waiver obtained during the strike, stating, “It allowed our small but incredibly hardworking crew to keep creating and telling stories when so much of the industry was paused. Independent film has always been about passion and perseverance, and this project is a true reflection of that spirit.”
Larry Greenberg and TJ Smith negotiated the deal for Quiver, while Paul Davidson from 27th Hour represented the filmmakers.
