LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is in mourning following the death of Officer Daniel N. Malek, who passed away on March 13. A dedicated member of the force, Officer Malek served at the Northeast Area station, which serves neighborhoods including Atwater Village, Cypress Park, and Silver Lake.
Officer Malek held the rank of Police Officer III at the time of his passing. He leaves behind a daughter, Samantha, and his mother, Laila.
