Michael’s *Faith* album, primarily written, arranged, produced, and performed by him, won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. It made history with a record-breaking four consecutive U.S. No. 1 singles, including *Faith*, *Father Figure*, *One More Try*, and *Monkey*, distinguishing Michael as the only British male solo artist to achieve this milestone from a single album on the Billboard Hot 100. The album sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and topped charts in ten countries.
The iconic artist gained fame in the 1980s as part of the duo Wham!, selling over 30 million records. He later embarked on a successful solo career with more than 125 million records sold globally, securing eight number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and seven on the UK singles charts. As the most-played artist on British radio from 1984 to 2004, he released his final studio album in 2004, followed by a last live album in 2014.
Michael, who was also known for his philanthropic efforts and faced several publicized legal challenges later in life, passed away in 2016 at the age of 53 due to heart disease.
