Production of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7 Paused Following the Passing of Mary M. Cosby’s Son
Production for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) has been suspended following the tragic death of Mary M. Cosby’s son, Robert Jr.
Filming for Season 7 was set to begin this week, but the schedule has been indefinitely postponed in light of Robert Jr.’s passing.
The original cast from Season 6, including Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport, was anticipated to return for the upcoming season.
It remains uncertain whether Cosby will continue her involvement in the series after the loss of her son. On the show, she and Robert Jr. were candid about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health, a vulnerability that resonated with audiences and highlighted important social issues.
This morning, Cosby shared the heartbreaking news of her son’s death on social media, stating, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord.”
She continued, “Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
Executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen, also paid tribute to Cosby. He expressed his condolences on Threads, writing, “Devastatingly sad news out of SLC. This is every parent’s worst nightmare. My heart is broken for Mary, and I am sending all my love to her and Robert Sr.”
