Gorillaz to Host House of Kong Exhibition in Los Angeles
Gorillaz has announced that their highly anticipated House of Kong exhibition will be taking place in Los Angeles for a limited engagement from February 26 to March 19, 2026. The exhibition will be hosted at Rolling Greens DTLA, coinciding with a special two-night performance at the Hollywood Palladium on February 22 and 23, where the band will showcase their new album, The Mountain, in its entirety.
Originally launched in London from August 8 to September 3, the House of Kong exhibition celebrated the band’s 25th anniversary, offering fans an immersive experience into Gorillaz’s unique visual and musical universe. It provided a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the band’s creative process.
Damon Albarn marked the closing of the London exhibition with a series of four exclusive performances at the Copper Box, where Gorillaz played their debut album, Demon Days, and Plastic Beach, among other hits. The final night featured a "Mystery Show," debuting multiple tracks from The Mountain alongside classic favorites from their extensive catalog.
Tickets for the House of Kong exhibition in Los Angeles are currently available for $39.50. Ticket holders will receive priority access to pre-sale tickets for the Hollywood Palladium shows, which will be available starting December 9 at 9:00 a.m. PST. General ticket sales will begin the following day via Ticketmaster.
Creative director Stephen Gallagher described the exhibit as “not a retrospective, it’s an audio-visual artwork; an installation that takes a glance backwards in order to identify the path ahead.” Gallagher expressed gratitude for his eight-year tenure with the Gorillaz family, emphasizing the transformative impact of the music and art he has experienced.
Gorillaz is also preparing for the release of The Mountain, their ninth studio album, set for March 20, 2026. The band has already teased several tracks, including “The God of Lying (feat IDLES),” “The Happy Dictator (feat Sparks),” and “The Manifesto (feat Trueno and Proof).” While additional U.S. tour dates for 2026 remain unannounced, the band is scheduled to tour in the UK and Europe next spring.
