Lana Parrilla, Con O’Neill, K.C. Clyde, and Jesse Garcia Join Forces for Indie Thriller ‘Dismantle the Sun’ by Nicholas Batchelder
EXCLUSIVE: Lana Parrilla, known for her role in The Rainmaker, will lead Dismantle the Sun, a dystopian indie thriller produced by Small Batch Films and Cold Iron Pictures. The film will also feature Con O’Neill from Our Flag Means Death, K.C. Clyde from Landman, and Jesse Garcia from Flamin’ Hot.
Currently in production in Los Angeles, Dismantle the Sun is set in a near future ravaged by micro-plastic mutations, which have decimated the global population of children. The story follows a hardened private investigator who navigates a brutal black-market economy. When her employer kidnaps a young girl for her healthy organs, the investigator goes rogue, confronting her past choices to seek redemption while racing against time to save her daughter.
Nicholas Batchelder, making his feature directorial debut, wrote the screenplay. The production team includes producers Sarah Phillips, Tennessee Martin, Batchelder himself, and Sanaz Tamjidi. Financing for the project comes from Small Batch Films and Radical Kindness Productions, with Small Batch Films producing in partnership with Cold Iron Pictures.
The executive production team comprises Parrilla, Miranda Bailey, Scott LaMascus, Julia Stier, Natalie Whalen, Batchelder, Phillips, Martin, and Tamjidi.

Parrilla, who gained fame as a cast member of Once Upon a Time and is currently starring in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, is represented by Untitled Entertainment and IAG.
