MobLand Season 2 Welcomes Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond Alongside New and Familiar Faces
Paramount+ Expands Cast for Season 2 of MobLand
Paramount+ has announced the addition of Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond as series regulars for the upcoming second season of its crime drama MobLand, which has been in production in London for several weeks. The series, created by Ronan Bennett, is executive produced by Guy Ritchie.
In the first season, MobLand explores the power struggles between two rival London crime families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons. Viewers witness a deadly clash that threatens both empires and the lives intertwined within them. Central to the narrative is Harry Da Souza, portrayed by Tom Hardy, a charismatic fixer torn between loyalties as the conflict escalates. The series underscores the theme that family takes precedence in a world steeped in violence.
Pierce Brosnan stars as Conrad Harrigan, a once-feared mob boss, while Helen Mirren plays his formidable wife, Maeve. The cast also features Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Emmett Scanlan, and Teddie Allen.
Returning for the second season are Janet McTeer, Toby Jones, and Alex Fine, who reprise their roles from Season 1. McTeer plays Kat McAllister, a high-ranking figure in the global crime syndicate, while Fine portrays Donnie, Kat’s henchman and Harry Da Souza’s nemesis. Jones appears as Colin Tattersall, a retired detective intent on dismantling the Harrigan family.
MobLand marked a significant success for Paramount+, achieving the second-largest launch for an original series following Landman, according to internal data from its first 90 days. The show has consistently performed well in Nielsen’s Top 10 Streaming Originals since the premiere of its third episode.
Produced in collaboration with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, MobLand is executive produced by David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Tom Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox.
The first season is currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
