Timothée Chalamet Shows Off Dance Moves at CCXP Convention
Timothée Chalamet captivated fans at the CCXP convention in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 5 while promoting his upcoming film Marty Supreme. The 29-year-old actor took to the stage, energetically performing the dance to Soulja Boy’s hit “Crank That,” which originally released in 2007.
Footage shared on social media captured Chalamet entering the stage in a green and yellow pullover. As he began the dance, the crowd erupted in cheers. In another clip, he removed his pullover to reveal a grey hoodie emblazoned with "USA" and playfully tossed it to a fan. He followed that by removing the hoodie, showcasing a white tank top as he greeted the audience with enthusiasm.
This performance is not a first for Chalamet. In December 2024, he demonstrated his familiar dance skills on the podcast The Broski Report, where he not only performed but also taught the dance to host Brittany Broski.
Chalamet’s love for dancing has been evident in past interactions. His Dune co-star Zendaya revealed that they often enjoyed dance parties together during filming. The actor showcased more of his dancing talent as Willy Wonka in the 2023 film Wonka.
In addition to dance, Chalamet once harbored aspirations to become a rapper. He performed as his alter-ego, Lil Timmy Tim, at a 2012 event at his alma mater, LaGuardia High School.
Currently, Chalamet is focused on the promotion of Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie. He plays Marty Mauser, a title character inspired by the real-life Jewish American table tennis pioneer Marty Reisman, who passed away in 2012. The film, which follows a ping-pong champion with unacknowledged dreams, will be released in theaters on December 25.
