Guy Fieri’s New Culinary Competition Series ‘Flavortown Food Fight’ Premieres on Food Network
Food Network Announces Premiere Date for Guy Fieri’s ‘Flavortown Food Fight’
Food Network has officially announced that Guy Fieri’s new culinary competition series, Flavortown Food Fight, will premiere on March 4 at 9 p.m. The show will also be available for streaming the following day on HBO Max and discovery+.
This announcement marks the first official reveal of the series, which was initially delayed due to Fieri suffering a leg injury late last year.
In Flavortown Food Fight, three chefs will enter Flavortown each episode, where they will compete in a series of cooking challenges aimed at showcasing their culinary skills. Participants will navigate through various real-world dining environments, from street food carts to fine dining establishments, as they choose their paths to claim victory.
Each episode will begin with a skills challenge, followed by two rounds of cooking tasks that will determine their "paycheck." Only the final winner will receive the cash prize in this winner-takes-all format. Additionally, winners of the skills challenges will have the opportunity to select the first restaurant kitchen for the challenges, tackling themes like “Mexican Street Food” and “Five Star Fine Dining.”
Fieri will set the theme for each episode, with his son, Hunter Fieri, occasionally joining him to present the cooking challenge menus. Two guest judges will evaluate the contestants and decide who progresses in the competition. Winners may earn up to $20,000 in challenges and will face new competitors in subsequent episodes, with no cap on the number of wins possible.
“For the first time in television history, we’re opening the gates of Flavortown and inviting some of America’s most talented chefs to showcase their skills in a never-ending list of off-the-hook restaurants that you’ll only find here,” Fieri stated. “We’ve been building out this universe for years and I’m stoked to finally invite everybody in!”
In addition to the series, Fieri will host an exclusive tour of Flavortown via Food Network’s social media channels, providing fans a behind-the-scenes look at the judging process and competition updates. Betsy Ayala, Head of Content for Food, Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed excitement about sharing Flavortown’s glory with fans, stating, “We know viewers will love this fresh take on the competition format, and the endless variables will make it one of our most exciting and unpredictable series yet.”
Flavortown Food Fight is produced by Knuckle Sandwich and Lando Entertainment for Food Network.
