Ashley Tisdale French and Haylie Duff recently shared a glimpse of a playdate involving their daughters on Instagram Stories, posted on January 27. The candid moment shows Duff’s daughter Lulu, age seven, playing under a table with Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter, age four. Duff captured the playful scene with the caption, “Under table shenanigans,” which Tisdale then re-shared on her own Instagram profile.
The friendship between Duff and Tisdale spans several years, marked notably by a real estate transaction in 2016, where Duff purchased Tisdale’s former home in Studio City for $2.7 million, according to records.
This recent post occurs against the backdrop of Tisdale’s essay in The Cut titled “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.” In her candid reflection, she recounted her challenges within a mom group and emphasized the importance of recognizing when such relationships have become unhealthy. Tisdale’s earlier blog post, “You’re Allowed to Leave Your Mom Group,” published in December 2025, highlighted her experience and resonated with many parents navigating similar issues.
In her January essay, Tisdale reiterated the message that if a mom group causes consistent feelings of hurt or exclusion, it may be time to step away. She advocated for honesty with oneself, noting, “Choosing to step away doesn’t make you mean or judgmental. It makes you honest with yourself.” This commentary sparked speculation among fans regarding the identities of the individuals involved in her previous group, including Hilary Duff, who has faced backlash on social media over Tisdale’s claims.

Most recently, on January 19, Hilary Duff returned to the stage at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire for her first concert since 2015, where she performed a new song titled “We Don’t Talk,” potentially alluding to her relationship with her sister, Haylie. No explicit details have been provided about the song’s backstory, but concerns regarding the sisters’ dynamic have surfaced, especially as they have not been seen publicly together since 2019.
Hilary’s forthcoming album, luck…or something, is set to be released on February 20 through Atlantic Records, further amplifying the public’s interest in her personal life.
