Celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo, renowned for his work with A-list stars such as Paris Hilton and Tori Spelling, has passed away at the age of 55 after a prolonged battle with colorectal cancer.
His husband, Adeel Khan, announced Vo’s death on Instagram on Saturday. “My beloved husband, best friend, partner in life & business, Kim Vō, has taken his final breath,” Khan shared in his heartfelt post.
Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2018, Vo demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout his illness. Khan noted, “He fought valiantly, winning many battles along the way and exceeding all medical expectations under the care of Dr. Lawrence Piro and his incredible team at Angeles Clinic and Cedars-Sinai.”
Khan also expressed his husband’s significant impact, stating, “Kim had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, welcomed, and at home.” In lieu of flowers, he encouraged donations to the Kim Vō Foundation, aimed at supporting hair, beauty, and fashion creatives affected by cancer.
“Our first initiatives focus on advocacy and helping to provide the level of care and treatment that Kim was fortunate to receive, for our fellow peers,” Khan articulated. “This is the legacy Kim and I are committed to building with your support. We love you, we are here for you, and we will fight for you.”
In the comments section of his post, numerous celebrities paid tribute to Vo. Spelling remarked, “I’m so sorry he was such an amazing human. Filled with such light and love.” Perez Hilton added, “The iconic Perez pink and all my wild colors – as well as my lush blondes – were thanks to Kim. A master of his craft and art! Such a loss!”
