Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton Face Off in New ‘Ready or Not 2’ Trailer: Survival and Ambition Await
Samara Weaving Returns in ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’
In a thrilling follow-up to the horror-comedy Ready or Not, Samara Weaving will reprise her role as Grace in the eagerly awaited sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. While Grace barely escaped her wedding night in the first film, the upcoming installment promises to raise the stakes even higher.
On Wednesday, Searchlight Pictures released the first official trailer for the film, directed by Radio Silence, revealing a continuation of Grace’s harrowing journey. The sequel picks up immediately after the events of the original, where Grace triumphed in a deadly version of a children’s game against her in-laws.
However, her victory brings further challenges, as Grace learns she is now embroiled in an even more intense game. This time, her estranged sister, Faith, portrayed by Kathryn Newton, is also fighting for survival. Together, they must compete for the High Seat of the Council, an influential group with global power.
Grace may have defeated her groom and the Le Domas family, but she now faces a new cadre of affluent adversaries, played by Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg.
"You’ve caused quite a stir, Mrs. Le Domas," says Wood’s unnamed lawyer in the trailer. "You married into that family; now they’re dead. What you didn’t know is that this goes far beyond them. By surviving Hide-and-Seek, you’ve triggered a new game, this time against the High Council Families, double or nothing. This part will be familiar; they will try to kill you."
Scheduled for release on April 10, 2026, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come reunites the Radio Silence directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. As anticipation builds, fans are eager to see how Grace’s story unfolds in this chilling sequel.
