Scarlett Johansson May Join Robert Pattinson in ‘The Batman Part II’
DC Studios has not issued a statement regarding the latest developments surrounding Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming film project.
The plot details remain closely guarded, making it challenging to uncover specifics about Johansson’s role. The Warner Bros. and DC Studios production is slated to begin filming in the spring and is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 1, 2027.
Director Matt Reeves’ The Batman marked Warner Bros.’ first theatrical release after the pandemic, following a day-and-date release strategy with HBO Max. Starring Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz, the film achieved significant box office success, grossing $369.3 million domestically and $772 million worldwide.
With her tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe concluded, Johansson has shifted her focus towards establishing new franchises. In addition to her involvement in The Exorcist and The Batman Part II, she played a crucial role in revitalizing the Jurassic World franchise with Jurassic World: Rebirth, which debuted in July and grossed $868 million globally, with a sequel already in development.
Recently, Johansson made her directorial debut with the Sony Pictures Classics drama Eleanor the Great, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She is next set to appear in James Gray’s film Paper Tiger, alongside actors Miles Teller and Adam Driver.
In addition to being represented by CAA, Johansson is also affiliated with Yorn Levine LLC.
