The Beauty, created and written by Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, is based on a comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. The narrative unfolds as international supermodels begin to die under eerie and sinister circumstances. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are dispatched to Paris to investigate. As they delve deeper, they discover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary individuals into ideals of physical perfection but comes with alarming repercussions. Their pursuit leads them to "The Corporation" (Ashton Kutcher), a tech billionaire protecting his vast empire at any cost. The chaos ensnares Jeremy (Jeremy Pope), a desperate outsider seeking meaning as the agents race across Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to thwart a threat that could redefine humanity’s future.
The Beauty is executive produced by Murphy, Hodgson, Peters, Ramos, Pope, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, Michael Uppendahl, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Gitter, Peter Schwerin, and Jeremy Haun, who serves as a consultant. The series is produced by 20th Television.
FX’s The Beauty will premiere three episodes on Wednesday, January 21, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX and will stream on Hulu at the same time. Following the premiere, new episodes will air each Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with two episodes scheduled for the final two weeks of the season, culminating in a finale featuring two episodes on March 4.
