Billy Ray Cyrus Expresses Joy Over Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando’s Engagement
Billy Ray Cyrus publicly celebrated his daughter Miley Cyrus’s engagement to musician Maxx Morando in a heartfelt Instagram post. On December 2, a source confirmed the engagement to PEOPLE, prompting Cyrus to share his excitement with fans.
"So happy you and MaxxAgazillion found each other!!!!" he wrote in the post, captioning it with joy as he congratulated the couple. The sentiment reflected the close-knit family bonds that characterize their relationship.
In his message, he acknowledged Miley’s unique upbringing, stating, "No wonder you turned out so special … You have the greatest Godmother in the world!!! @dollyparton 🌎" Billy Ray concluded with, "Congratulations! Happy to see you both so happy!!! love Dad ❤️."

According to sources, Miley Cyrus, 33, was engaged to Morando, 27, following rumors sparked by her appearance at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles, where she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. A representative for Miley did not comment immediately on the news.
Reports indicate that Miley was first spotted with the ring in mid-November, which was also visible during her birthday celebrations later that month. The couple initially sparked romance rumors in December 2021 when they were photographed together backstage during an NBC holiday special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, in Miami. By April 2022, they were seen passionately kissing in West Hollywood, confirming their relationship.
In a June 2023 interview with British Vogue, Miley shared the story of her first meeting with Morando, revealing they were set up on a blind date. "Well, it was blind for me and not really for him," she noted, reflecting on her initial thoughts about the date.
