Authorities have determined the cause of death for Brazilian influencer Barbara Jankavski, known as “Boneca Desumana,” after she was found unresponsive at the home of public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto on November 2.

Following a forensic analysis by the Technical-Scientific Police and investigations by the São Paulo Civil Police, authorities reported that Jankavski died from accidental cocaine use, as noted by a local outlet g1. However, both the Public Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo and Jankavski’s family have sought to present the case to the Jury Court, suggesting the possibility of murder, per g1.

According to a police report obtained by CNN Brasil, De Vitto stated that he had been in the company of Jankavski on the night of her death after hiring her for “sexual services.” He indicated that they had both consumed illicit substances prior to her death. De Vitto discovered Jankavski unresponsive after she fell asleep and attempted to resuscitate her for nine minutes before emergency services arrived, confirming that she had passed away.

Authorities from the São Paulo State Military Police found Jankavski’s body wearing only underwear, with an injury on her left eye and marks on her back. A friend attributed her facial injury to a previous slip and fall incident. Initially, police classified her death as suspicious.

Jankavski, recognized online as “Human Barbie,” had amassed a following of over 55,000 on Instagram and 344,000 on TikTok. She was known for documenting her numerous cosmetic procedures, including a recent facelift shared on social media in June.

Jankavski appeared to last update her social media accounts on October 1, posting a video with fellow influencer Avós Da Razão on Instagram. In the comments section, her fans have shared heartfelt tributes following her untimely passing.
