Two Men Could Spend Decades in Prison After Multiple 7-Eleven Armed Robberies, Say Prosecutors
Two Men Charged in San Fernando Valley 7-Eleven Robberies
Two men have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies at 7-Eleven stores in the San Fernando Valley, as authorities continue to investigate potential links to additional robberies in the area.
The suspects, 23-year-old Lorenzo Byrd and 29-year-old Samuel Mandefro, face four counts of second-degree robbery, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. If convicted on all counts, Byrd could be sentenced to more than 43 years in state prison. Mandefro, who has prior convictions, could face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life under the three strikes law.
Court records indicate that Byrd and Mandefro used weapons during the robbery of two 7-Eleven locations on January 3, when employees were present. They are also linked to another robbery on December 28, 2025, and a subsequent incident on December 30, 2025.
The district attorney’s office noted that further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation progresses. Law enforcement officials are examining whether Byrd and Mandefro are connected to six additional robberies involving 7-Eleven stores and two shoe shops.
As the investigation unfolds, it remains clear that authorities are keen to uncover the full extent of the suspects’ criminal activities.
