Channing Tatum has made a name for himself as a prankster on film sets.
Amanda Seyfried, who starred alongside Tatum in Dear John, revealed that the duo engaged in a series of playful pranks while filming. “He and I effed with each other the entire movie in a super, super fun way. He’s very, very funny, and we had a great time,” she recounted during an interview with Deadline.
One memorable incident involved Tatum pulling an unexpected prank. “He peed on my leg once, without me knowing. He peed on my leg on the beach, and I didn’t realize at first, and then I was like, ‘Oh, that’s why he’s standing so close to me,’” Seyfried shared, describing the prank in vivid detail.

“There was a coffee cup very close by, and a little bit got in the coffee cup, and he ran away as I was screaming. One of the makeup artists picked it up and was about to drink it, and I saved her,” Seyfried added, highlighting her quick thinking during the comedic chaos.
Based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks, Dear John narrates the love story between a young soldier, John Tyree (played by Tatum), and college student Savannah Curtis (played by Seyfried), who fall in love during his leave from the military.

In a past interview with E! News, Seyfried praised Tatum as her “favorite co-star thus far” due in part to their shared sense of humor. “Channing and I have a very similar set behavior. We don’t take anything too seriously, but we’re shooting a movie that’s very heavy, all about love and romance. It’s a tear-jerker, so we just like to play around,” she explained.
