Alan Cumming Joins UTA as the New Host of ‘The Traitors’
Alan Cumming has recently signed with UTA, marking a shift in his representation across all areas.
The host of The Traitors was previously with CAA, having transitioned there from ICM Partners in 2020, prior to CAA’s acquisition of ICM. His new partnership with UTA comes on the heels of the debut of the fourth season of The Traitors on Peacock, a reality series he both hosts and produces. A civilian version of the show is set to air on NBC soon after. Cumming received significant recognition for his work, winning the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program in 2024 and 2025, while the series itself earned the award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
Although Cumming has embraced his role in unscripted television from a Scottish castle, he remains a renowned actor. He will next portray Kurt Wagner, also known as Nightcrawler, in Marvel’s upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release in December.
Cumming began his career in British television with shows like Travelling Man and Taggart before gaining prominence in the BBC comedy Bernard and the Genie, crafted by Richard Curtis. He made his feature film debut in Ian Sellar’s Prague and starred alongside Minnie Driver in Circle of Friends. He also portrayed Boris Ivanovich Grishenko in the James Bond film GoldenEye.
His filmography includes notable titles such as Emma, Eyes Wide Shut, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Spy Kids, X2, and Battle of the Sexes. On television, Cumming has appeared in acclaimed series like The Good Wife and Schmigadoon!
In addition to his screen work, he has a rich theater background, having performed in Hamlet and Macbeth, and has also hosted the Tony Awards.
Cumming continues to be represented by Bond Artists and B-Side in the UK.
