Pamela Anderson is opening up about her relationship with former husband Tommy Lee. In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the actress talked about their distance over the years.
The 58-year-old star disclosed that while she has not been in contact with the 63-year-old Lee for some time, she anticipates seeing him and his current wife, Brittany Furlan Lee, at an upcoming family wedding. “My son Dylan’s getting married soon, so I’ll see them at the wedding,” Anderson said, explaining that the ceremony is set for June 26.
Anderson expressed her attempts to maintain communication with Lee, especially during visits involving their sons, Brandon, 27, and Dylan, 26. “They see him. I always ask about him. I tried to send him pickles. I try to stay in contact,” she noted. When prompted by Cohen about the pickles, she remarked, “My kids just said, ‘Mom, just…,’ I don’t know what it is. I have to stay out of it, and I shouldn’t really be saying anything, but I do wish them the best. I hope everything’s okay.”
When asked whether she specifically wishes Lee well, Anderson replied affirmatively, but added that she believes communication might improve if he were not married. “I do,” she stated, elaborating that “he’s a real romantic” and very dedicated to his wife, which may complicate their interactions. “I wish we had a better relationship,” she continued. “I haven’t spoken to him in a long time. I miss him, and with the kids getting married and having grandkids, we’re always going to be connected in some way.”
Anderson’s comments come three years after she mentioned on The Howard Stern Show that she and Lee communicate “text here and there” as co-parents. During that period, she said they would check in occasionally.
The actress and Lee’s whirlwind romance led to their marriage in 1995. They welcomed their sons before divorcing in 1998.
