Chase Infiniti recently shared a memorable experience from the set of One Battle After Another, where she was tasked with shaving co-star Leonardo DiCaprio’s beard. This anecdote surfaced during her January 14 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
During the show, Infiniti, now 25, narrated how the incident occurred before filming began. Infiniti humorously recounted, “He was like, ‘Here Chase, go in and shave his face!'” Despite her admission of having never used an electric shaver prior to that moment, she complied with Anderson’s instruction. “I don’t know what I’m doing,” Infiniti recalled, chuckling at the memory.
“I ended up making it crooked,” she continued, adding that there is likely a video of the incident somewhere. The lighthearted nature of her story drew laughter from the audience and from Kimmel, who noted the absurdity of the situation. “Really? That’s a weird thing to do, isn’t it? That’s a lot of responsibility,” he remarked, emphasizing the significance of DiCaprio’s iconic appearance.
Infiniti admitted to feeling nervous throughout the process, stating, “I was like shaking the entire time. I was like, ‘I’m so sorry. I hope I don’t do anything wrong.’” Kimmel inquired whether DiCaprio had any input on allowing an amateur to undertake such a task, to which Infiniti replied, “It was definitely Paul,” eliciting laughter once again.

One Battle After Another received significant acclaim, winning the Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) at the 2026 Golden Globes, surpassing contenders like Blue Moon and Bugonia. The film, a satire on radical politics, also garnered director Paul Thomas Anderson two awards for his contributions to both direction and screenplay.
In a previous discussion, Infiniti expressed surprise at DiCaprio’s enthusiasm for another bonding activity—creating TikTok videos together during breaks on set. “I would show him trends… and by the end of it, he got really into it,” she shared at the Gotham Awards.
Reflecting on her initial day filming with DiCaprio, who portrays her character’s father, Infiniti felt prepared due to prior interactions and rehearsals. “I actually felt very calm going into that day because I had had the chance to meet Leo and workshop that scene and workshop our dynamic a lot,” she stated, citing the positive impact of their earlier engagements on her confidence.
