Mickey Faces His Toughest Challenge Yet in the Season 4 Trailer of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’
“Every murder case is like a tree. And it’s the prosecutor’s job to feed and water that tree. I’m the man with the axe. I’m gonna cut that tree down to the ground.” These powerful words from Mickey Haller, portrayed by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, set the tone for the fourth season of The Lincoln Lawyer, as he embarks on one of the most challenging cases of his career—a fight to beat a murder charge.
This season, inspired by Michael Connelly’s bestselling novels, is based on “The Law of Innocence,” the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series. Haller and his team must work diligently to establish his innocence after being accused of murdering a former client, Sam Scales, played by Christopher Thornton. Unraveling the complexities of Sam’s final scam forces the team to confront the DA’s office, the FBI, and unresolved issues from Haller’s own past.
The previous season concluded dramatically with Scales’ body found in Haller’s Lincoln, leaving him fighting for his life in court. He must contend not only with the prosecution led by Dana Berg, portrayed by Constance Zimmer, but also with personal connections, as Berg has ties to Haller’s first ex-wife, Maggie, played by Neve Campbell.

The trailer hints at a formidable adversary in Berg, but Haller’s unique advantages may provide him with the edge he needs to prove his innocence. With Maggie’s familiarity with Berg, the stakes are higher than ever.

Created for television by David E. Kelley, who also serves as executive producer, the series is co-developed by Ted Humphrey, who shares the role of co-showrunner and executive producer with Dailyn Rodriguez.
