Shooting Outside Fast-Food Restaurant in South LA Leaves One Dead and Four Injured
One Dead, Several Injured in South Los Angeles Shooting
LOS ANGELES – A shooting in South Los Angeles on Sunday night has left one man dead and four others injured. The incident occurred in front of a Louisiana Fried Chicken in the Gramercy Park neighborhood, according to local authorities.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Manchester and Normandie avenues. Upon arrival, they discovered four victims, aged between 37 and 64, suffering from gunshot wounds.
LAPD officials stated that the victims were waiting for their food when two assailants approached and opened fire. Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, heading down Manchester.
Four of the injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics, where one was pronounced dead. The fifth victim managed to drive themselves to the hospital.
As investigations continue, authorities are canvassing the area for evidence.
Details regarding the suspects remain scarce, as a thorough description has not been released and they are still at large. The names of the victims have also not been disclosed.
