Jennifer Lawrence made a striking entrance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The 35-year-old actress turned heads in a stunning Givenchy naked dress designed by Sarah Burton, complemented by glittering Swarovski jewelry. Posing alone on the red carpet prior to the awards ceremony on January 11, she showcased her fashion-forward style.
Lawrence was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role in Die My Love. Competing in the same category are Eva Victor for Sorry, Baby, Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, Julia Roberts for After the Hunt, Renate Reinsve for Sentimental Value, and Tessa Thompson for Hedda.
A previous Golden Globe winner three times over, Lawrence’s accolades include Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013, Best Supporting Actress for American Hustle in 2014, and another Best Actress award for Joy in 2016. She has also received nominations for Winter’s Bone (2011), Don’t Look Up (2022), and No Hard Feelings (2024).
Married to Cooke Maroney since October 2019, Lawrence is a mother to two sons: Cy, age three, and a second child born in 2025, whose name remains undisclosed. While filming Die My Love, she was five months pregnant with her second child.
In a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, Lawrence discussed her character’s postpartum struggles. “A part of what she’s going through is the hormonal imbalance that comes with postpartum, but she’s also having an identity crisis,” she explained. “For me, I was four-and-a-half, five months pregnant when we shot, I had great hormones, I was feeling great, which really was the only way I would be able to dip into some of this visceral emotion.”
Reflecting on motherhood, Lawrence described the transformative experience, stating, “Having children changes everything. It changes your whole life. It’s brutal and incredible.” She acknowledged how her children influence her professional decisions, saying they teach her profound emotions that enhance her acting abilities.
Discussing the challenges of balancing her career and family, Lawrence mentioned in a November 2025 interview that, “Everything is sacrificial… I’d never had to say no to something before that I really wanted to do.” Despite these challenges, she emphasizes the importance of her acting career in her identity, asserting she would not feel complete without it.
