In the City Section boys’ games, Cleveland dominated Monroe, winning 80-27. Other key results included Dorsey’s 61-42 victory over Carson, and Narbonne’s decisive 67-49 win against North Hollywood. Granada Hills edged out Venice with a close score of 64-58, while San Pedro delivered a high-scoring performance, defeating Chatsworth 82-61.
In the Southern Section, Aquinas led with an 85-52 win over Riverside Notre Dame. Adams’ 68-27 win against Grand Terrace and Downey’s strong 83-62 showing against Compton were also highlights of the day. Heritage Christian recorded a standout victory against La Quinta, winning 96-25.
Meanwhile, in intersectional play, Burbank achieved a commanding 98-60 win over LA Marshall, and Inglewood managed a narrow 77-76 victory against Missouri’s Webster Groves.
In the girls’ matchups, LA Hamilton outperformed RFK Community with a score of 76-37, while Panorama secured a close 50-45 win against Vaughn. The Southern Section saw notable performances from AGBU, defeating Burbank Providence 47-27, and Etiwanda, who triumphed 103-64 over Moreno Valley.
In another intersectional matchup, Ontario Christian and Archbishop Mitty faced off in a gripping double-overtime battle, with Ontario pulling off a 96-87 victory.
