Sarah Paulson Commemorates Diane Keaton with New Tattoo on Late Actor’s Birthday
On what would have been Diane Keaton’s 80th birthday, actress Sarah Paulson revealed a tattoo inspired by the acclaimed star. Keaton’s children, Duke and Dexter, also honored their mother with new tattoos on the same day.
Diane Keaton, known for her iconic role in Annie Hall, passed away from pneumonia in October 2025 at the age of 79. Paulson shared a touching tribute on Instagram, saying, "You would have been 80 today… I was the luckiest person in the world to have traveled, laughed so hard we cried, watched a million and one movies, really cried, and eaten French fries with you." She concluded, "I will miss you till the end of time."
Paulson’s tattoo features the initials "DK" and was showcased alongside a nostalgic photograph of the pair on a beach at sunset.
On the same day, Keaton’s children unveiled their own tributes. Dexter’s tattoo includes the phrase "la di da," while Duke’s features the words "weird old word." Dexter expressed her emotions on social media with a heartfelt message, saying, "I miss you, mom 💔🕊️."
Celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, known as @winterstone, created all three designs, though it remains unclear if they were inked together or separately.
Months prior to Keaton’s passing, Paulson praised her as a key inspiration during an interview, stating, "She’s an absolute iconoclast and I feel very lucky to call her a dear friend."
