CAA Basketball Executive Joins Lift Sports Management to Lead Marketing Efforts
Corey Vann Joins Lift Sports Management as Chief Marketing Officer
Corey Vann, who has dedicated a decade to basketball partnerships at CAA, has accepted the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Lift Sports Management. This marks a significant move within the sports industry as Vann steps into a role alongside former NBA champion Mike Miller, co-founder of the agency.
Lift Sports Management, representing athletes such as Patrick Beverley and Maya Brady, has enlisted Vann to lead its marketing initiatives as the agency aims to expand its reach. In his new role, Vann will report to CEO Donnie McGrath and oversee marketing strategies across Lift’s various sectors, including brand development, player representation, talent synergy, and digital content.
Previously, Vann served as an executive at CAA, where he focused on partnerships and endorsement deals within the basketball division. His background also includes roles at the National Football League, CBS Sports, and NBCUniversal, where he contributed as an assistant analyst on Football Night in America.
“The opportunity to join and help grow Lift into a world-class agency was one I could simply not pass up,” Vann stated. “Stepping into a role in which I get to touch multiple sports, as well as spearhead business development, is a dream come true.”
McGrath expressed immediate confidence in Vann, saying he recognized his potential “after five minutes of speaking with him.” He added, “His relationships and reputation are unparalleled, and his ‘find a way’ mentality is a perfect match with the group we’ve built at Lift.”
Founded in 2020 by Miller, who secured two consecutive NBA Championships with the Miami Heat, and McGrath, the New York-based Lift Sports Management has rapidly grown its clientele, which now includes Beverley, Brady, and Paolo Banchero.
