In the comments, Manilow’s backup singer, Melanie Taylor, expressed her support, stating, “That’s my boss y’all!” She added, “He’s making it through the rain! Love you B!” Manilow’s drummer, Matt Sorum, also shared his well wishes, saying, “Heal up Barry, much love.”
Last month, Manilow disclosed via a Facebook statement that he would need to pause his performances due to the health concern. He noted that after experiencing a prolonged illness, his doctor ordered an MRI, which led to the discovery of the cancerous spot.
Reflecting on the situation, he remarked, “It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.” However, he acknowledged the need for surgery to remove the spot, but reassured fans that no chemotherapy or radiation would be required, humorously stating he would stick to “chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns.”
After his diagnosis, Manilow reported feeling “great” and experiencing “no symptoms,” expressing gratitude for his proactive medical care. “They caught it very, very early,” he said.

Speaking to Billboard in June, Manilow expressed confidence in his health, playfully asserting he would continue performing until he could no longer hit the notes of his classic song "Even Now." "I’m still healthy," he stated. "The night I can’t hit the F natural on ‘Even Now,’ that’s the night I throw in the towel. But I can still do it."
