The Australian EDM sensation Dom Dolla took center stage at the Beyond The Valley festival, marking its 10th anniversary with an electrifying countdown to the New Year. Known offstage as Dominic Matheson, Dolla kept the energy high as festivalgoers celebrated the arrival of 2024.
The festival was held at the scenic Barunah Plains in Victoria, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of 40,000 attendees, which organizers Untitled Group reported sold out “instantly.”

The four-day event, running from December 28 to January 1, featured a star-studded lineup that included Addison Rae, who made her first-ever festival appearance, and Kid Cudi, returning to Australia after more than a decade. Other performers included Turnstile, The Temper Trap, and many more.
Kid Cudi expressed his excitement on Instagram, stating, “Man, bringing in the New Year at BTV was the most epic s— ever!!! I had the best time w u all!!! So much love, bouncing back from me to u. Such a beautiful experience.”
Dom Dolla’s role in the countdown was a natural choice, having performed at eight previous editions of BTV. His recent landmark show at Allianz Stadium on December 20 marked a historic moment as the first stadium performance by a homegrown DJ. In December 2024, he shattered attendance records, drawing over 170,000 people across a four-date national tour.
“Reaching ten years of Beyond The Valley is something we’re incredibly proud of,” said Nicholas Greco, co-founder and managing partner of Untitled Group. “Moments like Addison Rae’s debut festival performance, Kid Cudi’s return to Australia, and Dom Dolla counting down the New Year really capture what BTV is all about – discovery, connection, and shared experiences.”
The celebrations continued as Dom, Rae, Cudi, and others moved on to perform at the Wildlands festival at Brisbane Showgrounds on January 1, with another event scheduled in Perth on January 3 at Arena Joondalup.
