Taylor Swift concluded her Eras Tour on December 8, 2024, a significant day as it also marked the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers, where her fiancé, Travis Kelce, played.
In a heartwarming moment captured in her Disney+ docuseries, The End of an Era, Swift showcased her support for the Chiefs alongside her father, Scott, while backstage at her concert. “You got the game on?” she inquired, donning a Chiefs sweatshirt, as the game aired on television.
Throughout the game, Swift was visibly enthusiastic, exclaiming, “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God… Thank you, sir, I need them to keep running away with this.”

At one point, Scott humorously noted that he never imagined his daughter would be following a game on her final day of tour. “I never thought that you and I would talk about sports in my life ever,” Swift remarked. “I mean, it hadn’t happened by the time I was 32.”
As the day progressed, Swift managed to balance her concert preparations while keeping an eye on the game. While rehearsing her song “New Romantics,” she amusingly sang the lines, “Get this first down, please,” and even interrupted her performance to shout, “Touchdown!” eliciting laughter from Scott.
“Yes! Oh s—. If this goes my way, the kind of day I’m about to have…,” she exclaimed as the Chiefs clinched a 19-17 victory over the Chargers, securing their ninth consecutive AFC West title. However, the team’s fortunes have shifted, as they are currently out of playoff contention.
Meanwhile, Swift wrapped up her tour, offering her farewell to the Eras Tour.

In a reflective voiceover, Swift expressed her desire to regain hobbies and interests that had taken a backseat during her extensive tour. “You just don’t have any energy for anything that seems optional,” she noted, hinting at a hopeful return to a fuller life post-tour.
Swift has openly discussed how her relationship with Kelce has sparked her interest in football—a sport she previously knew little about. In a recent appearance on the New Heights podcast, she shared that she “fell in love” with football and now finds herself “obsessed.”
“I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!’” she recalled, referring to the wide receiver chosen by the Chiefs in the 2024 NFL Draft, much to the astonishment of her friends.
Kelce, in turn, expressed his gratitude for Swift’s enthusiastic embrace of football. “I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly,” he stated, appreciating her support and engagement with the sport.
